The first room that I decorated at the beginning of my first season. There weren't any plans, I was just told the space needed to look like a circus with leftover set dec from American Horror Story: Freakshow. I also had to hang the circus curtains and rig the pulley rope for the actor to draw back both sides of the curtain at the same time with one rope.
These photos are from the development of my kid horror series inspired by the same era of Showbiz Pizza that inspired Five Nights at Freddy's.
This is more like what the haunt looks while it's operating. Lighting the haunt for an audience is completely different than lighting for camera. I only worked on the lighting at night after letting my eyes adjust, because there were too many light leaks in the warehouse during the day.
